Rings:
· You may know your ring size or be able to measure the diameter of one that you already have. If not, you can wrap string or paper around your finger and mark the size. You then need to divide by 3.14 to get the diameter.
· You can then refer to a ring sizing chart to find your size.
Bracelets:
· Bracelets can be measured by length.
· Measure your wrist with a tape measure then add on approximately 2cm. If you want a loose fit perhaps size up slightly more.
Bangles:
· Bangles are slightly different as they are designed to be loose on your wrist and have to go over your knuckles. They are measured by diameter. You can measure by clenching your fist and measuring round the widest part of your knuckles. This measurement will be the inside diameter of your bangle.
If you require a size out with what I am offering, please get in touch.
· A good way to keep your jewellery looking shiny is to use a polishing cloth regularly.
· There are silver dip products on the market but be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners.
· Extra care is needed if jewellery contains pearls or gemstones as these are delicate. They can be cleaned with soapy water and a soft brush. Do not use silver dips on these.
· Precious metals like silver and gold can be hallmarked and this guarantees that the metal is as described by the seller.
· Items above 7.78g require to be hallmarked – anything under this weight is exempt.
· Items which need a hallmark are sent to Edinburgh Assay office to be checked and hallmarked. This mark includes the makers mark, the fineness of the metal and the office at which it has been hallmarked.
